Our weekly meetings have three parts:
- Prepared speeches
- One to three members give speeches that they have prepared ahead of time.
- Table topics
- Members without other meeting duties are called upon to give a short impromptu speech on a question or topic.
- Evaluation
- Speech evaluators constructively and positively review the speeches of the prepared speakers, and a General Evaluator reviews the success of that night's meeting.
"I believed getting more comfortable speaking in front of others would help me become more extroverted and confident. It has! I have a good solid feeling about being a member of this group. A good Toastmaster, by definition, is responsible and supportive. We have many good Toastmasters. Our club is a good place to experiment with one's own creativity: first to compose it, and second to talk about it in front of an audience." -- Larry
